SUN VALLEY

The pool has classic California midcentury proportions. The residence is an architect designed mid-century house. The Client wanted a clean line, modern pool to set off her large and well planted yard. It is visible from the entry through the wall of glass on the opposite of the house. The spa has 3 bench seats with armrest/steps in two corners and an open side for standing. There is a bench at the end of the swimming lane that allows for easy access out of the pool and provides seating next to the spa. The pool and spa are heated and have an automatic pool cover. They function very well for laps, for play, and as a social space with plenty of seating and adjacencies. The finishes are understated and serene in contrast to the colorful planting. The coping is silver travertine, the waterline tile is Spanish Klimt Azul and the plaster is classic soft white.
